Neither Launcher nor MC uses real 64 bit JVM

Dears,

I am not 100% sure, but I suppose Minecraft is using and forcing to use 32bit JVM.
How to force MC to start and use 64 bit JVM?
Especially to be able to give MC more memory like 4GB.
