1.7.10 Multiplayer Bug

When I attempt to join a multiplayer server on the version 1.7.10, my minecraft crashes and brings me back to the home launcher page with the error - Game Crash - An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
