Minecraft crashes after i press play

So when I press play and it shows the console, it just crashes and sends me back to the launcher.

This never happened to me before so I'm confused why it happened right now.

I'm using 1.8.8 with the latest version of Java.

I tested it on 1.9 and it showed this in the console

The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated
