Help Minecraft crashing since 2016!

So I haven't been able to play minecraft since the summer of 2016 or so. I am only 13 I'm not tec-savy or anything I just play for fun. So my problem is that whenever It crashes it says Java(TM) Platform SE binary is not responding Please help me so I can play the game.
