Minecraft crashes on Mojang screen

When I open the launcher and click play, the Mojang loading screen appears but then the game crashes and I have to close the window. Then Minecraft Launcher opens with the error message.
I've tried re-downloading minecraft and updating Java but I don't know how to fix it.
