Game crashes during launch - 1.12.2

The game crashes at launch. I have tried several fixes, but can't seem to find the right one for my issue. This issue started in August - it did work without issue prior to that. This is what appears on the screen after the crash.

Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
