Upon loading into Minecraft world game crashes

I just purchased Minecraft, upon completing the download I loaded into a creative world. Upon successfully loading into the world, I see a grey world and slowly the world loads in. At this point, the game crashes and pops up with the message "Java(TM) Platform SE binary stopped working." I have reinstalled Java as well as updated my Intel Video card as well as restarting the computer. The issue still hasn't corrected itself. Please advise on what I can do to successfully play Minecraft. Thank you!
