Java platform SE stopped

So when I launch Minecraft and and open a world it just says "Java platform SE has stopped" and then it just closes. I have the latest Java, nvidia geoforce, 4 GB RAM and 17 processor so have all the specs I need, but this isn't working and I have no idea why
