forge 1.8.9

alright, i'll just get to the point
when i downloaded the forge 1.8.9 its was ok it said it "successfully added to the launcher" or something like that, it isn't in the launcher when i open it...??
like it dosent show like "1.7.10-forge" is it a bug?
