MAC MC launcher, download failed .lang. failed to download file!!!

Hi, Me and my friend are using MacBooks and we are on the new software 10.12.6 Sierra. When i press play to download MC 1.12 latest release, it comes up with an error message.
This is NOT a duplicate, the issue has been resolved for WINDOWS not MAC. May someone please give me a solution to this problem, i have tried contacting Mojang and they keep telling me to come to this page but i cant find any answers. This issue is NOT resolved for mac but it is resolved for windows, please help! (ERROR MESSAGE BELOW AND SCREENSHOT)
