GAME CRASH

Hi,
We have just downloaded the latest version of Minecraft from the official Mojang site. When launching we get GAME CRASH An unexpected error has occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

We have NOT installed any mods yet as we have not managed to start the game.

Please can you help.
