Launcher will not open

I expected to be greeted by minecraft once i opened the launcher and hit the play button. I was instead greeted by an instant crash with NO REPORTS.

What I did and the order i did it in:
[7/12/17]
Updated to the new Minecraft Launcher. No issues.
Updated to the most recent Minecraft version, game crashes after updating once i hit play.
Opens launcher, no issues, hits play, crashes.
Opens launcher, won't open.
Opens launcher, hits play, game crashes but the launcher stays open. Message: "GAME CRASH An unexpected issue has occurred and the game has crashed. Sorry for the inconvenience." Close message. Launcher does not crash.

If I need to present files tell me which ones and where I can find them, because there are no crash reports from what I can find (I looked in the .minecraft folder and in the folder minecraft is present in)
UPDATE-
there are NO CRASH FILES to be found in my /.minecraft FOLDER
