minecraft and technic launcher don't log in, authserver.mojang.com is never reached.

so, I tried to log in after a long time today and it didn't work, well that's odd, maybe the technic launcher will work, no? even stranger, I looked into the logs of both and found this in the technic log: B#349 2017/07/09 08:13:41 [SEVERE] Caused by: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative DNS name matching authserver.mojang.com found and this in the minecraft log:
