my minecraft launcher wont open

My minecraft launcher wont open and i have deleted .minecraft, repaired it, restarted my pc, and i reinstalled java but it wont work and its getting really annoying. it pops up in my task bar but when i click it it wont do anything and i tried installing the old launcher but that does not work either :/.
