Launcher suddenly downloads itself every time i open and crashes

every time i attemp to open the launcher it acts as if ive never opened it and it opens a window that says "downloading native launcher" and then suddenly crashes and no matter how many times i uninstall and reinstall java, minecraft, launcher, curse it does the same thing and never opens the launcher (the old launcher works and can play MC so i have all the files that work and i was using the new launcher for a long time then suddenly this.)
