Minecraft.exe is currently broken

I just want to make this crystal clear.
When you type (www.minecraft.net/en/download/alternative) you come up with alternatives to a standard download.
The current alternative download for windows is not working. At all.
The second option for windows will download the launcher, but it will not start.
I noticed this issue about 4 days ago, and it still hasn't been fixed.
Please fix this, thanks!
