Launcher Bug/Error

It all started after I deleted a file called "Programs". Nothing to worry about, it was an exact copy of the same file. Anyway, after that, I made a full scan of my PC and I fixed other stuff. In the end, I was like "I just want to play Minecraft...!" so, as usual, I clicked the exe. to launch it, but nothing hapenned, which was weird. I tried for another 5 times, and still nothing. So I made a backup of my saves and deleted the whole Minecraft (.minecraft file and the exe.) and installed the exe file again. I tried to launch it and it still didn't work. So I tried to run it in Compatibility Mode, which I changed it to Windows XP (Service Pack 3), which was my old OS.
Still, nothing hapenned, so I waited for 1.6 to come with the new launcher. But, like the 1.5.2 version, nothing hapenned.

Please help, I miss playing Minecraft :'(
