Failure to Launch/Game Crashes on Launch

When I click "play", I get a game crash notification saying "An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience." This happens with older versions of Minecraft as well

Some of my PC specs if that will help
OS: Windows 10 64 bit
Java Version: Version 8 Update 121
Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce 840M version
