APPCRASH

I updated to the new launcher tonight and now when I open it, the launcher gets to the point of "Downloading realms- 1.10.14.jar" and then crashes. Almost immediately a window pops up saying "Minecraft launcher has stopped working" with an APPCRASH error. I have tried re installing Minecraft, I have restarted my computer, I've tried to open in an older Minecraft version and still nothing seems to be helping at all.
