Launcher can't access folders that are mounted partitions

My c:\users is a mounted partition from another drive to save space on my SSD. I get the following error when trying to use it:
Error details: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
Filename on disk: .minecraft
Path: C:\Users\ccReynolds\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Exists: directory

If I change the folder to something outside of the c:\users the game will launch.
