Cannot Open Minecraft

Before the new launcher I was able to log into minecraft without trouble. ever since the new launcher I can NO LONGER open minecraft. if I try it crashes every single time. I hope this s a glitch in the new launcher as I was quite happy with my old one. If you can fix this soon I would really appreciate it. I'm getting quite annoyed that I cannot play with friends due to your glitch.
