OSX: "Minecraft quit unexpectedly" on game launch

When the minecraft launcher is fullscreen, and then I click play, it gives me the error 'Minecraft has quit unexpectedly', but the game still opens. Here is the error message - https://i.gyazo.com/dd763b6e4aeab5ecfd42316fb4246e58.png
I expect not to get an error? I mean, this is pretty self-explanatory.
I got an error.
1. Open minecraft launcher
2. Make fullscreen
3. Click PLAY
4. Read message

This was removed as invalid for being technical support on the minecraft bug website (I did not realize there was one dedicated to the launcher), which it is not. This is NOT technical support, the program is causing an error message, which I see as a bug.
