can't sign in

when I got off minecraft last night, it was fine. Today, it updated the launcher. since then, I KEEP getting a message saying " Java Platform SE binary not responding". when I can FINALLY get it to close, it says " unexpected issue has occurred and the game has crashed. Sorry for the inconvenience". This has been going on since 9am. PLEASE fix, go back to old launcher or something. I've uninstalled Java and reinstalled with the new update, and still can't get into minecraft. there's been 2 times, I can get all the way to the "loading terrain" screen, but after 6 minutes the screen just goes black and I have to shut down the computer because my task box won't even come up, to close it down.
