Internal Error

I try to load Minecraft and the launcher gives me an error then windows closes the program

What I expected to happen was...:
The launcher to download the packets and launch the game so I can continue playing my game

What actually happened was...:
as described above i press play and the launcher brings up a window that says internal error then I click the next button or continue or close and it gave me the windows error

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch the game launcher
2. press play
3. error occurs here
