Minecraft Launcher Crashing

While I was opening the new launcher of Minecraft, I hit play and it ran through the loading screen but when it switches to Minecraft (The Game) it comes back to the launcher and says Game Crash An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Due to this for the past weeks Minecraft has not been working for me and I can't play. Can you help me fix this?
