crashes before instance of minecraft can open

Crash happens with all versions except 1.11.2

Steps to recreate:
-Select any version except the latest (1.11.2), for me it was b1.5_01
-click "play"

Game Output will open, output 8 lines and then the launcher will notify you of the crash
