Switch back to the old launcher

Hey there! Is there anyway I can switch back to the old launcher. Here are some reasons: 1) So Apparently 1.8 is not supported (even though most minecraft players use 1.8 because its the best in my opinion) 2) It crashes minecraft 3) I don't really like the layout that much. Anyways, I'm not trying to be mean (I hope I didn't sound mean) just wondered if you could help me Thanks!
