Cannot launch Minecraft

What I expected to happen was for Minecraft to launch normally.

What actually happened was that it didn't launch at all, the launcher dissapeared for a second like it was launching, and then came back up with a crash report.

1. Install a new edition of windows 7
2. Install Minecraft
3. Attempt to launch any version
