VM Error

How come when I try and change the executable to 1.8.0_101 from 1.8.0_25 in the Minecraft Launcher? I get this error;

> Error occurred during initialization of VM
> Could not reserve enough space for 3145728KB object heap
> Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
