I joined a server and it crashed and it told me to come here to fix the problem.

I joined a popular server and it immediately crashed, I tried it again and it did it again. A tab then popped up to come here to fix the problem.
I thought/expected that I would join a server and play on it.
What had occurred: I joined a server and a few seconds later it crashed on me.
I do not know a step to step guide to trigger this I just would like to play on servers without it immediately crashing.
I ALSO USE A LAPTOP if that might be part of the issue.
