Unable to update minecraft native launcher windows 10

When I launch Minecraft on my PC 2 windows open up. The first one says "Minecraft Updater: Downloading Native Launcher" (but nothing downloads).
and a second window opens up "Minecraft Launcher: Unable to update the Native Minecraft Launcher". Can I manually update the Minecraft Launcher?
