Incredible Latency

When the 1.6.44 update for MCL came out i noticed that it was immediately going to be an "interesting" experience but when i noticed that some who the Launcher was causing dramatic FPS and TPS drops on my mac i did some looking and found that if i use the 1.6.4 version of MCL but when i launch any of the update ones i am frequently have to struggle with high TPS and FPS drops i haven't been able to fix this client side, even when i run vanilla its absolutely unplayable 9 times out of 10 on a Single Player World, i can and have only played on servers since the 1.6.44 update which is aggravating given that when i try to start up a single player world on 1.6.44 or greater i get some unreal number of ticks behind its to a point where its just a waist of time for me to launch my Single player worlds
