I never got the .minecraft folder, plz halp meh

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
I could just go in and edit the textures of blocks

What actually happened was...:
I could not even click .minecraft because it was not there.

Steps to Reproduce:
There are none.. just download minecraft.
