Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher

yesterday i tried to download the new version of the launcher and it said "unable to update the minecraft native launcher"
i tried to delete and download minecraft again and i had the same problem,
i tried to shut off my firewall and again it didnt work.
please help me
