Unable To Place and Break Blocks

Please, Please update the game versions!!!!! MY ISSUE IS NOT WITH 1.7.2!!! IT's WITH 1.8!!!!
In my creative world I switched my gamemode to survival and tried to break blocks nothing. I couldn't place any either. In my survival world I switched to creative to get a jukebox and records and the record wouldn't play. I switched to survival and tried to break the juke box and put it down again since it wouldn't work and I couldn't break it I tried to break some stone next to it and I couldn't. So now my survival world is useless. I think this started around father's day (2015) too.
