Minecraft Launcher crashes on boot

The Minecraft launcher crashes almost instantly upon booting (after the "Starting launcher..." log output). It seems to be working fine with IcedTea JDK 6.1.13.5, and the issue only popped up after upgrading from Linux 3.18.7 to 3.18.9. The entire JRE crash log is attached.
