minecraft launcher will not allow me to log in, it keeps giving me an Certificate exception: No subject alternative DNS name matching authserver.mojang.com found

What I expected to happen was...:
Log on as normal

What actually happened was...:
I receive an error:

Sorry, but we couldn't connect to our servers. Please make sure that you are online and Minecraft is not blocked.
(certificate exception: no subject alternative dns name matching authserver.mojang)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Any time I log in for the last week

I have seen that you have helped someone in MCL-3405 with this same error but on a mac, please help me.

I have searched on line and followed various advice, uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, and Java, changing settings etc. What ever I do it will not help.
