3D blocks are bugged

When I used a resource pack that made ome blocks 3D, the blocks had a broken texture
What I expected to happen was...:
Describe what you thought should happen here
The blocks would turn up as 3D and epic when I turned the resource pack on
What actually happened was...:
Describe what happened here
When the resource pack loaded, the 3D blocks turned into the untextured blocks with the black and purple squares
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download a resource pack that adds 3D textures
2.Load the resource pack
3.Look at block that should be 3D (examples: tall grass, bookshelves, ladders, flowers etc,) the blocks turn up as an untextured block
