Minecraft Launcher Not Working?

I Was On My Minecraft Launcher,I did login But It Said Can't Connect To Minecraft.net, I Couldent Play Offline cause game wasn't downloaded.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.you need to go to a website that has a free verson of minecraft and get it
2. when done try to login
3.if it says cant connect to minecraft.net, then the bug is happening.
