Version Sound Glitches

No Sound when selecting previous minecraft versions below the 1.6 release, unsure on how to proceed and I don't know if I can fix it on my end, but if I can, I want to know how to fix it ASAP, so I can get back to the good ol' alpha/beta or even 1.5.2 and below days!
