Fatal Error on Launch

Goes through entire launch sequence to "Mojang" title screen, then crashes. "Game Output" tab opens on launcher explaining issue. Error comments include:

• A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment
• EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x000000000cdb55ec, pid=3804, tid=988
• Failed to write core dump
• Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (24.65-b04 mixed mode windows-amd64 compressed oops)
• Problematic frame: C [ig4dev64.dll+0x55ec]
