Villager Skin still visible in Alpha 1.2.6

When logging in to play Minecraft Alpha 1.2.6, the launcher/game downloads the villager skin used for the April Fools 2014 joke. Looking into the game log, it appears to load skin texture from this URL: http://www.minecraft.net/skin/Player524.png
