I have mac OS X. Minecraft downloads. I click play. Minecraft goes. 3 secounds pass. Launcher comes back with no game.

I have recently downloaded minecraft on this computer - I've downloaded it on others and it had worked. I have a account that I paid for and have played minecraft before, but on the computer I am typing this to you, it simply won't run. I have tried changing minecraft version - never got s resource pack or mod, I get the launcher then I click play and the launcher disappears. But in three secounds or two it reappears as no game even came. There may be a issue with OS X (mac)? I don't know, but I need that minecraft!
