Game won't open

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought that the game was going to open

What actually happened was...:
After I pressed play, "mojang " appeared, then it crashed and went back to the launcher as if i had never pressed play

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open minecraft launcher
2. ... press play
3. ... wait.
