Unable to install launcher on macOS Sequoia 15.1.1.
Unable to install minecraft java launcher on macOS sequoia 15.1.1.
When I download the launcher installation file and try to open it, the system gives me a "Minecraft.dmg is Damaged and Can’t Be Opened. You Should Move It To The Trash". error, then automatically deletes the file.
I have "allow installing 3rd party apps" option allowed in the system settings. In fact, I've installed over 10 other 3rd party apps on the very same machine and none had this issue, so I am assuming the problem lies within the launcher itself.
Sequoia is still a new system so maybe this can be fixed in a launcher update? From a brief online research it seems that people /are/ able to play Minecraft on this OS, but perhaps only if they've previously had it installed on the computer /before/ updating to Sequoia - whereas I'm working with a machine that is new and /only/ ever had Sequoia on it, and I'm installing all the apps for the first time in this enviroment.
Right now, when I try to redownload the launcher file, the system removes it immediately from my desktop as soon as the download is finished, since it recognizes the file as 'damaged'.
