When buying MC i can't switch Region/Country

When i go to pay for java and bedrock, the launcher doesn't let me select which country/region I'm from. I've changed the settings in my Microsoft account as well as the launcher to Canada (where i'm from). It refuses to let me select a country and my address won't be accepted as it isn't one from the US.
