Log in Window Frozen-- Unable to Log in

I'm unable to sign into Minecraft despite using my Microsoft account because my log in screen is frozen. I can't type on it or click any of the buttons it has.

Additionally most times when I try to refresh and open Minecraft I get a completely black screen and have to quit it and try again.

I'm unsure of what specific type of Mac I have but will find out if it's important to solving the bug
