Exit code: -2

I click the Play button on the Launcher for Minecraft: Java Edition Latest Release 1.21 which initiates the Preparing bar which starts filling with green. After about a minute and 45 seconds, the bar gets to about a fourth of the way and then speed advances the green and then quickly says Finalizing and then the launch window disappears (my computer just shows my desktop). It is in this state for a long time (7 minutes and 6 seconds) and then the Launch window reappears overlayed with a window telling me that the game crashed and gives me Exit Code: -2.
