The launcher after redeeming a Minecraft gift code allows me to play Minecraft JAVA but does not allow me to play "Minecraft for Windows".

This seems strange to me because unfortunately as they now sell both versions of Minecraft (Java and Bedrock) I want to play both versions and it won't let me I would be attentive to a solution thanks
