Minecraft launcher gets me to un specified updates

My Minecraft launcher gets me into outdated updates the current update is 1.7.5 so that basically gets me to 1.7.6?! that means I cannot join servers, there is nothing new and my worlds are changing... i play minecraft every day and this neve happened and this makes me worried. so plz try to figure this out as soon as possible Thank you MOJANG!
